San Cassiano, Alta Badia, Italy

The wedding will be held in the small ski town of San Cassiano in the Trentino region of the Dolomites. The stunning natural sights of the Pale Mountains, named after the geologist Déodat de Dolomie, are testament to the Dolomites's UNESCO World Heritage status.

The Dolomiti Superski Area

It's part of the Dolomiti Superski area comprising a linked set of resorts offering around 1200km of slopes. It includes the stunning Sella Ronda ski trip circling around the Sella Group on easy slopes and is an easily achievable objective for a beautiful day's skiing. The skiing ranges from cruisy blues above San Cassiano to challenging reds, blacks, off piste and gnarly couloir skiing a few lifts away. There is something to suit all levels and abilities.

Other activities are readily available such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ski touring. A number of the hotels will happily arrange guides etc.
